Boca Raton's St. Patrick's Day celebrations received a potent shot of rock and roll adrenaline thanks to a phenomenal performance by U22U at Crazy Uncle Mike's.

Boca Raton's St. Patrick's Day celebrations received a potent shot of rock and roll adrenaline thanks to a phenomenal performance by U22U at Crazy Uncle Mike's. This U2 tribute band, known for their meticulous attention to detail (check out their website at U2-2U.com), proved once again that they're the closest thing to the real deal this side of Dublin.

The capacity crowd at Crazy Uncle Mike's https://crazyunclemikes.com/ was electric throughout the night, clearly thrilled by U22U's spot-on renditions of U2's greatest hits. From the soaring anthems of ‘With or Without You’ and ‘Pride (In the Name of Love)’ to the pulsating energy of ‘Vertigo’ and ‘Beautiful Day,’ the band delivered each song with an impressive level of accuracy and heart.

There were no gimmicks here, just a talented group of musicians who have clearly dedicated themselves to faithfully reproducing the sound and energy of U2. Whether it was Bono's iconic vocals (perfectly captured by Jason, the lead singer), the intricate guitar work of The Edge, or the driving rhythm section, U22U delivered a performance that was nearly as good as the real thing.

MEet the band

Walt (Larry)

Walt is a seasoned drummer experienced in multiple genres, starting with his Funk/Fusion and Rock & Soul feel from his session Work in Detroit. Later he soaked in the afro Cuban/ Salsa/ Jazz Samba groove while playing cruise ships out of Miami. Walt is known for his passion and is having a blast performing U2 songs, “some of the best songs ever written” with his multi-talented mates.
Brad (The Edge)

Brad is a seasoned guitar player and vocalist originally from Miami. He founded and co-fronted Daddy Likes, one of the most popular alt-rock cover bands in South Florida that played up and down the coast for over 2 decades. Brad holds a passion for the band U2 since first hearing the album “Live, Under a Blood Red Sky” and jumped at the opportunity to perform these beloved songs.
Jason (Bono)

Jason has been involved in the British music industry since the 1990s fronting many bands from Blues to the Brit pop invasion. In the early 2000s he was asked to front British U2 tribute Band, The Unforgettable Fire. Since then he has stood in for other U2 tributes such as U2-UK and US-4. He now lives in Florida and fronts U2-2U .
Eric (Adam)

Eric is a veteran bassist/vocalist originally from Boston, spending decades in Los Angeles before making his way to South Florida. Eric has performed worldwide - from Europe, to Japan, North and South America, as well as numerous performances in Las Vegas showrooms. A crossover talent well versed in multiple genres including rock, salsa, bluegrass, funk and, currently, U2.
